6 weeks into my role as Marketing Manager and this blog has been on my to-do list since my first week! Re-joining Percipient has been a whirlwind, but an amazing one. I first started here in 2012 as an Apprentice Marketing Assistant whilst working towards my Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Marketing. My role at the beginning was very diversified, I was doing everything from email campaigns and organising events, to helping the finance team. In my time at Percipient, I watched the business grow from a single ERP vendor business, to a multi-vendor organisation. The experience I gained throughout my time as Marketing Assistant at Percipient was invaluable.
In 2016, I thought a change would benefit my career a lot and decided to take a role within one of the biggest Digital Marketing Agencies in the UK. Jumping over to “agency side” was scary! However, taking this role allowed me to develop my experience in all things digital. After 2 years of soaking up as much information as possible, from some of the industry’s biggest thought leaders, I decided that my skill set was better suited on client side.
Throughout my time at the Agency, I kept in touch with my colleagues and friends at Percipient. So, when the chance came to re-join as Marketing Manager, I was very keen to apply.
My time so far has been spent building our social network, preparing for the Sage Partner Summit in Seville and I was also lucky enough to do some charitable work in Battersea Park for the Sage Foundation in London.
So, what’s next? There’s a lot of upcoming campaigns, events and even a 15-year birthday bash for Percipient that needs organising. The list is never ending but that’s what I enjoy the most, there’s always something different to be getting on with.
