Percipient Consulting are now recruiting Graduate IT Consultants


Location: Cheshire


This role offers a two year training scheme with Quarterly reviews aimed at developing graduates to a full Oracle Applications implementation consultant. The role will combine instructor-led training and on-the-job experience, and will suit someone looking to move into Oracle consultancy. There will be 4 main streams for which users can apply:

  • Financials - Suiting someone from an accountancy and business graduate background, this role covers the implementation of systems supporting the Financials and Accountancy processes run by companies
  • Logistics - Suiting someone from a business graduate background, this role covers the implementation of systems supporting the Order Processing, Purchasing and Inventory processes run by companies
  • Manufacturing - Suiting someone from an Engineering graduate background, this role covers the implementation of systems supporting the Manufacturing, Product Development and Engineering processes run by companies
  • Technical - Suiting someone from an IT graduate background, this role covers the implementation of systems supporting the Financials and Accountancy processes run by companies

During the training scheme the following areas will be developed:

  • Core Consultancy Skills
  • People Management
  • Presentation Skills
  • Validation, Compliance and Quality Standards
  • Applications Configuration and Management
  • Project Management

The role will involve a combination of:

  • Site-based implementation
  • Office-based customer support
  • A large amount of travel (may include some foreign travel)


Other Skills/Abilities

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Self motivated and self driven
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer Focused, able to liaise effectively with users/customers over the telephone and in person
  • Demonstrate a sound methodology/approach to problem solving
  • Work calmly and accurately under pressure
  • Meet deadlines agreed with customers, whilst managing their expectations through to completion for a given task
  • Able to work well as part of a team
